the red titan is so huge why does he leave such a tiny hole, he could just punch and kick the walls and they would fall down. Woot Woot GET ‘ER DONE!
I was at work from 9am - 10pm today. When I arrived home I thought I would be too tired to make progress on my tradebot. But after staring at facebook, reddit, and tumblr, I realized that I was wasting precious development time.
So I went at it. Skyy vodka with lemon juice, my third beer (had two at work), Trigun on Netflix, and the simplest idea of a trading algorithm— buy while the price is rising, sell when it’s going down.
I just started my bot on my test account which has 3 USD. If by tomorrow morning I have not dwindled my funds to less than .01 BTC or equivalent (minimum trade amount) I will consider this a good step towards progress.
Or maybe it will just crash in an hour…
Bitcoin Tradebot
So I started working on a Bitcoin Tradebot over the weekend. Drinking beer, listening to Kpop, watching Trigun on Netflix, reading the poorly documented APIs on MtGox, and playing with JetBrains Webstorm… I managed to make good progress on the bot.
So far the bot can monitor and record the current price, authenticate requests, access my account balance, buy, and sell. All of the core functionality is there. The only thing that’s left (the hard part) is to figure out when to buy and when to sell…
I’ll post the source code on my website eventually….
